Adam’s musical background extends beyond performance and pedagogy into composition, conducting, production and recording, and piano restoration. Adam’s first album, a self-produced and self-recorded selection of works by Franz Liszt, was released in August 2021 and can be found on all music streaming platforms. Adam’s second album, self-titled and featuring his own compositions, was released on February 2, 2022, followed by the release of “Crimson” in March and album number three, “One Two Many,” in April.
Adam made his solo-orchestral debut in Perugia, Italy in 2022, followed by solo performances in Tignes, France. In July 2022, Adam performed a solo recital at Chrysler Museum in Norfolk, in a concert sponsored by the Feldman Chamber Music Society. The same organization invited Adam to return to perform a chamber music concert with violinist Emily Ondracek-Peterson in September 2022.
Adam currently serves as Director of The School of The Arts at Norfolk Academy. He maintains a sought-after private studio of piano, violin and viola students.
Adam has performed extensively throughout Virginia as well as in New York City, Hoboken, Miami, Charleston, and abroad. In 2017, Adam was invited by The Williamsburg Music Club to premiere “The Seven Ages of Man,” a collection of pieces by Williamsburg, Virginia-based composer Stephen Moore. Adam served as concertmaster of the Virginia Beach Chamber Orchestra from 2010-12, as assistant concertmaster from 2009-10, and as principal second violin from 2007-08.
In 2018, Adam founded Keys & Company School of Music, a piano-centric music school in a high traffic storefront in Hoboken, New Jersey. Students at Keys & Co. participate in private lessons and group classes, have the opportunity to perform in masterclasses with guest artists, and take part in house concerts, often sharing the stage with critically-acclaimed professional musicians. Keys & Co. transitioned during the pandemic to entirely virtual learning.
Adam’s primary teachers include pianist Alexandre Moutouzkine and violinist Dora Marshall Mullins.
